How can I view data on teen births for all age groups?

Why do I get a 0.0 sometimes for the rate?

Why the selection total is less than the state total even if I selected all the zip codes listed? Why the zip code I am looking for is not in the selectable list?

How can I view data on teen births for selective age groups?
Select your row and column variables, but do not use "maternal age" as one of them. In step four, click on the down arrow beside the "maternal age" drop-down menu. Select the age group you are interested in. You may only select one of these at a time. If you are interested in this same information for more than one of the age groups, simply repeat this process and select a different age group each time you submit the table specifications.

How can I view data on teen births for all age groups?
Select year as your row variable and maternal age as your column variable in steps one and two. In step three select the desired years and in step four select all races, all ages, and all for marital status. In step five select your desired area of analysis and in step six select South Carolina for the entire state or select the area that you need the statistics for. In step seven select all births and in step eight select the appropriate output preference. This will give you a table with the birth statistics for all age groups.

Why do I get a 0.0 sometimes for the rate?
This is due to missing denominators in the rate calculation. This will always occur for the unknown category, marital status, and ethnicity when live birth is the characteristic chosen.
Other times this will occur when there is no denominator (population) for the selection chosen, the frequency of the characteristic chosen will always be zero in this case and the rate can be seen as zero.
