As of Monday afternoon, all forecast regions are trending towards a code green with the exceptions of Pee Dee and the Upstate, which are teetering on yellow. For Tuesday, an increase in cloud coverage and moisture are forecast throughout the state. Partly cloudy skies in the morning will build into overcast conditions by the afternoon. The wind is projected to be a gentle breeze from the South. The mostly clean air being brought into the state will help stave off excessive levels of pollutant formation. Overall conditions look conducive for lower concentration levels of surface ozone generation. On Tuesday, all forecast regions are projected to finish in code GREEN.
